The thunderstorm and "Unity", die Garchinger Sommerparty

Today there is a super party in the TUM Garching Campus, called Unity, it is organized by student unions from different faculties so as to guarantee a reasonable balance between geeks and girls. Due to this, from 7 until now Garching is full of teenagers carrying bottles (no pictures of that here, but I think it is very easy to imagine it).

But more important than that, today there was a thunderstorm and I went outside to take some pictures. They are not that good but enough for me. Maybe there are some specific techniques for taking thunder pictures, I will read on internet later.

I have a lousy and old camera, and no tripod.

I just take this picture to test my camera in the night (30", f2.8, ISO100), I didn't really care about white balance:

After several (quite a lot, really) tries, I catch this one, the thunder was on the left (3", f2.8, ISO100):

Quite a lot of tries again, but it was totally worth it. The lampposts are moved because I did not have a tripod (5", f2.8, ISO100):
